What is the BAFTA Youth Board?
A collective of young people who meet regularly to advise the BAFTA Board on how to make the Academy’s activities relevant and attractive to young people.
Who is eligible?
Any young person between the ages of 18-25, who can demonstrate a passion for film, TV and videogames as well as a commitment to contributing to the industries. We are looking for people who can represent all of the different arms of the academy (film, television, videogames and children’s media) as well as a wide range of backgrounds and geographical spread. Formal qualifications are not a requirement.
What are the specific responsibilities of the Youth Board?
The Youth Board will take a broad look at BAFTA’s activities, both awards and the learning programme, and advise on how to reach and engage a wide number of young people. As an example, the board will be examining the content and launch of BAFTA’s new learning website.
How to apply
• Complete the online application form
• Complete the online diversity monitoring form
Applications must be sent to youthboard@bafta.org and must be received before 5pm on 5th December.
Candidates will be shortlisted and informed by 9th December.
The first meeting will be lunchtime 15th December so candidates must be free on this date.
Meetings take place in London.
Reasonable travel costs will be paid. Costs must be agreed prior to booking.
