Friday 9th December: The Tower of London’s ice rink is now open! With good open space for skating and a restaurant to warm up, it’s a great place to chill out and have a good time. Under 16’s £8.50 and adults £12.50. Buy tickets here.

Saturday 10th December: An Alice In Wonderland exhibition is taking place at the Liverpool Tate. Early drawings and photographs by author Lewis Carroll are on display, along with an exploration of the effect the book had on future works of art such as The Matrix, and artists like Salvador Dali, Rene Magritte and more. 12-18’s £5.40, and Adults £7.20.

Sunday 11th December: The National Theatre in London is showing the 1927 production The Animals And Children Took to the Streets, a play about a mother and daughter who arrive at the Bayou, a fearful, dirty, mysterious town where children are rebelling, demanding a better life and education. Sound familiar? Tickets from £12 – £20.

Monday 12th December: The Monday Showcase: Carol Concert is showing at the Birmingham Conservatoire’s Adrian Boult Hall. The annual Christmas celebration, performed by the Conservatoire Chorus, features piano, violin, cello and more. Tickets available on the door 45 minutes before the event.

Tuesday 13th December: On the other end of the musical spectrum, British singer, songwriter and rapper Dappy from N-Dubz is performing songs from his new album No Regrets at the O2 Academy Liverpool, from 7.00pm. Click here to book tickets.

Wednesday 14th December: The DLA Piper Series: This is Sculpture has been showing at the Liverpool Tate since 2009, but if you haven’t seen it yet, the holidays are the perfect chance to check it out. The exhibition features a popular collection display called The Sculpture of Language, which explores a unique form of art and performance. Artists include Henry Moore, Pablo Picasso and Sir Jacob Epstein. Free tours at 12:30.

Thursday 15th December: Famous comedian Russell Howard, who starred in the hugely successful BBC show Russell Howard’s Good News, is performing at the MEN Arena in Manchester. Book tickets here.
