New report finds video games are actually good for you
We’ve been told our whole lives that playing video games is bad for us. A recent report shows that video games actually help to prevent Alzheimer’s. So why aren’t schools and parents encouraging us to play more?
Studies say that it is important to keep the mind active, and playing video games is a great way of keeping our minds active. The report also says that reading, writing and being creative is important to your mental wellbeing –pick up your books cause this news means that it definitely time to read!
Scientists from the University of California and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, examined 65 healthy elders with the average age of 76. Only 10 of the elderly had Alzheimer’s. It turns out that these were the one who weren’t active in their young years.
Maybe our parents should rethink their out of date ideas about minimizing consoles in the house and buy more to keep our brains healthy.
