And there was I worrying that One Direction would be crowned the best dressed men of 2012. They may have been topping GQ’s poll a few months ago but the voters came to their senses and Tinie Tempah has been crowned most stylish British male of 2012!
Whilst, taking a look at the rapper’s style track record, it is no surprise he won the award. Tinie has been charming us with those geek-chic glasses and edgy, effortless looks for a while and the news comes just at the right time for his new fashion line! Perhaps the style icon’s debut collection can flourish where other “hip hop clichés” have failed.
Tinie is working with his management company Disturbing London and streetwear label MHI to create the line but told Q magazine that he did not want to be another “rapper turned fashion designer turned actor turned property developer”. The musician is reportedly trying to make his new range into a standalone brand and we have no doubt, with this current fashion accolade under his very stylish belt, the label will not need his music credentials to survive!
