Background: Aaron Hinton Marshall, better known as Aaron Fresh, was born in Chicago. During his early childhood he was sent to live with his grandmother in Arima, Trinidad. Growing up in Trinidad he learned to appreciate dub, reggae and calypso. He moved back to the States where he attended Los Altos High School. During Aaron’s high school talent show, rehearsals producer Mitchell Reo noticed him. With Reo’s help he got a chance to meet Nick Cannon and was quickly signed to Island Def Jam. His first album is called Fresh N Up, which was released in the summer of 2010. His first single, Spending All My Time, peaked at number 38 on the Mainstream Top 40, Number 4 on iTunes and got over 4 million views on TouTube. Aaron was featured in Jessica Jarrel’s Up & Running music video alongside Diggy Simmons and Khalil.
Sounds Like: Aaron’s music is quite similar to Sean Paul’s. He’s just more sensible when it comes to dancing in his music videos. In some aspects his voice is very much like Ne-yo’s. A very odd but nice mix, right?
