We honestly expected a lot more from USN. Phedra Cut Lipo XT looks very similar to the kind of cheap, generic caffeine + theanine supplements you can buy from pretty much any vitamin or health food shop in the UK. It actually looks a lot like green tea in terms of its composition – just with far fewer antioxidants! We think you could get the same benefits and save a lot of money by buying CLA powder, eating more greens, and drinking more tea. Phedra Cut Lipo XT is a bit of a waste of money in our opinion.
Our Phedra Cut Lipo XT Review
USN is one of the giants of the bodybuilding supplement industry. This brand has produced some of the most popular protein powders, pre-workouts, and weight gainers in the world. However, they are not known for the quality of their more specialized supplements – fat burners, testosterone boosters, and so on. USN Phedra Cut Lipo XT is clearly their attempt at changing that.
So what does Phedra Cut Lipo XT claim to do exactly?
The bottle states that Phedra Cut Lipo XT is a “multi-action thermogenic + energy” supplement. USN claim that its “2-phase system” releases “vital nutrients” and an “optimal time”.
Very interesting. We’ve heard stuff like this before, and it’s usually a gimmick. But maybe USN have developed a delayed release system that actually works well for the consumer.
Aside from this, we aren’t given much information about what Phedra Cut Lipo XT does or how it works. We’re given no specific benefits.
That’s fine – we know what we want to see from a fat burner anyway!
Does Phedra Cut Lipo XT really help with fat loss?
Will it cause side effects?
Is it good value for money? Is there a better option out there?

Phedra Cut Lipo XT Formula
Check out the USN Phedra Cut Lipo XT ingredients profile:
At first glance, this looks more like a green tea and caffeine stack than a comprehensive fat burner.
The main ingredients are Theanine, Theacrine, Caffeine, and Green Tea Extract. Basically, Phedra Cut Lipo XT looks very similar in composition to a cup of green tea!
Of course you’d have to drink a lot of green tea to match the quantities in Phedra Cut Lipo XT. But it is still a very simple supplement. It doesn’t give us much that we can’t get from basic theanine + caffeine stacks; supplements which are widely available and usually pretty cheap.
To be fair, we do get a fairly large serving of CLA powder in Phedra Cut Lipo XT. We also get some chromium and some B6.
Together, these ingredients will support efficient energy metabolism, help control blood sugar, minimize fat storage, and improve athletic performance.
But they don’t do any of these things in a particularly big way. Only chromium really stands a chance of making a meaningful difference to your physique over the course of a cut. But even then the effects are not noticeable – you wont see or feel a difference from chromium, nor from 200% of your RDI of B6, nor from 900mg of CLA.
All-in-all, Phedra Cut Lipo XT is a boring, uninspiring fat burner. The ingredients are basic. If you want caffeine, just buy a caffeine supplement and save yourself some money.
We’ll now go through these points in a little more detail.
Main Issue – Formula Very Similar To Green Tea
The thing we dislike the most about the Phedra Cut Lipo XT is the fact that it looks a lot like green tea in its composition.
The amounts of each substance you get are not the same, but most of the ingredients in Phedra Cut Lipo XT can be obtained from drinking green tea, black tea, and coffee – things which most people drink every single day anyway.
Theanine is found in very large concentrations in black tea.
Caffeine can be easily and cheaply obtained from tea and coffee.
Theacrine is found in both green and black tea.
Obviously, there’s nothing you can’t get from green tea extract that you can’t get from green tea.
That just leaves the chromium and CLA powder.
These ingredients are both abundant in common foods. Chromium is plentiful in leafy green vegetables, while CLA is present in high concentrations in beef, lamb, and butter.
If you want to maximize fat loss then supplementation is necessary. But these ingredients should definitely play a supporting role in a fat burner. Alone, they don’t have dramatic effects.
So compared to many of the fat burners on sale today – especially those in the same price bracket as Phedra Cut Lipo XT – this product is extremely weak.
It would not be a bad supplement in and of itself if it weren’t for the £34.99 price tag. As a kind of enhanced caffeine supplement, it would be very good.
But it is sold as a comprehensive fat burner with a premium price tag. Judged by that standard, Phedra Cut Lipo XT is a poor supplement.
Big Problem – Few Potent Fat Burners
As we explained above, the Phedra Cut Lipo XT formula is kind of boring.
It looks very similar to green tea – theanine, caffeine, green tea extract, BORING!
If you look at the leading fat burners today, you’ll see that they offer much more than Phedra Cut Lipo XT. They usually contain these same ingredients along with a variety of more powerful substances which you cannot easily obtain from your normal diet.
Phedra Cut Lipo XT contains none the these ingredients.
There’s no capsaicin content, so no thermogenesis.
There’s no glucomannan, so no appetite support.
There isn’t any green coffee bean extract, so no reduction in fat storage.
The dose of green tea is even boring; Phedra Cut Lipo XT gives us just 100mg where other products of a similar price give us 500mg or more!
Phedra Cut Lipo XT contains surprisingly few potent fat burners for a product sold as a high-end fat loss supplement! This is particularly surprising from USN; these guys have a reputation for creating good quality, reliable bodybuilding supplements.
We expect fat burners to give us substances we can’t get from food or drink. We expect large servings of potent extracts. USN Phedra Cut Lipo XT doesn’t give us what we want.
Phedra Cut Lipo XT Side Effects – Is It Safe?
So long as you know what you’re doing, you follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and you know how well you handle caffeine, then you should be able to use Phedra Cut Lipo XT without experiencing any serious side effects.
Most of the ingredients are perfectly safe to consume in larger doses than we get here.
Theacrine is a stimulant, but it is far weaker than caffeine; side effects are unlikely.
Obviously, the only real side effect risk is the caffeine.
Caffeine is an extremely powerful stimulant. Many people refuse to take it seriously because we consume it so frequently. But even 100mg is enough to have a serious physiological effect in humans.
Your average espresso only contains 60-80mg of caffeine. For some of you, one espresso is enough to elevate your heart rate and cause dizziness. Two can cause heart palpitations, hypertension, and sweating – and that’s just 160mg.
Phedra Cut Lipo XT contains 200mg of caffeine per serving.
USN have designed Phedra Cut Lipo XT so that it can be taken in two separate servings at different points throughout the day.
200mg taken in a single dose is simply too much caffeine for anybody – it will cause side effects (source).
Even 100mg is enough to cause acute side effects, which will include:
- Difficulty focusing
- Light headedness
- Elevated heart rate
Regularly consuming 200mg of caffeine per day can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. Itg can cause insomnia and dependency.
You need to calculate your existing caffeine intake very carefully before you start adding in more through supplements. Check to see if your pre-workout contains caffeine; Phedracut Lipo XT ca easly put you over into “danger” territory! If you think you’re pushing your intake already, maybe Phedra Cut Lipo XT isn’t for you!
If you want to skip the stimulants altogether, take a look at our top rated stimulant-free fat burner -> see full review.
Please remember the following facts while reading our fat burner reviews:
- We are not doctors
- This is not medical advice
You must do your own research properly before deciding to use any fat burners, even if their ingredients are 100% natural, and even if we think they look safe for 99% of users. You are not 99% of users! If you have any concerns or special circumstances which need to be considered, it is vital that you talk to your GP before using any fat burner.
Pricing – How Much Is Phedra Cut Lipo XT?
This is probably the most important part of our Phedra Cut Lipo XT review. The main issue with this fat burner isn’t the formula; it’s actually the price.
The formula isn’t bad in and of itself.
The ingredients used in Phedra Cut Lipo XT all contribute to faster fat loss, better blood sugar control, and enhanced athletic performance. This supplement will keep your energy levels high all day long while also directly stimulating lipolysis.
The problem is that this fat burner doesn’t deliver much that we can’t get from much cheaper supplements.
The formula is very similar to the kind of caffeine + theanine stacks you’ll see in your local supplement store. Generic, own-brand green tea supplements can be purchased from most vitamin stores for $10. You can get an enhanced caffeine stack for a similar price.
Even things like CLA powder can be bought in bulk for next to nothing.
So we think it would be very hard to justify spending a whopping £34.99 on Phedra Cut Lipo XT.
At that price it makes far more economic sense to buy CLA powder, caffeine capsules and green eta extract separately.
Or to save even more money, just use CLA powder, a multivitamin, and drink more green tea!
£34.99 is very similar in price to our top rated fat burners, but Phedra Cut Lipo XT does not provide anywhere near the same kind of power that they do.
In terms of value for money, USN have really missed the mark.
USN Phedra Cut Lipo XT Review Summary – Should You Use It?
We don’t think Phedra Cut Lipo XT is a great choice for anybody, regardless of your specific needs or goals. It is an extremely over-priced fat burner in our opinion.
You can get the same results by just buying some CLA powder, eating more leafy greens, and drinking more green tea. With that in mind, the £34.99 price tag seems very difficult to come to terms with.
Phedra Cut Lipo XT’s formula is very similar in composition to several other, basic, cheaper supplements you’ll find in your local vitamin store. It is actually pretty similar in composition to tea.
Chromium is a great fat burner, but it alone doesn’t make for a good fat burning stack.
CLA is not a particularly powerful fat burner. It does increase energy levels somewhat, but the results aren’t very dramatic.
In terms of pure value for money, we strongly recommend just buying the main ingredients individually and getting the rest from food.
In terms results, we think you will do far better with a more professional, comprehensive fat burner.
