This stuff is total garbage. We see absolutely no reason why anybody in their right mind would spend good money on this cheap scam of a testosterone booster. Caliber Labs are clearly just trying to make a fast buck here. They’ve used a very similar formula to other testosterone boosters on the market right now. In fact, we’re pretty sure that other supplements are using this exact same formula. Why else would you use a big dose of Tribulus Terrestris – which we know does nothing for testosterone – along with small doses of other useless herbs and plants? This only makes sense if you’re buying a pre-made formula from a wholesaler looking to get rid of excess ingredients. Nobody would formulate this from a blank slate!
Caliber Labs Testosterone is a complete rip-off. It doesn’t contain any notable testosterone boosters, and we have definitive proof that the primary ingredient does nothing. Pass!
Our Caliber Labs Testosterone Review
We recently noticed a new testosterone booster popping up on Amazon. Caliber Labs is not a well-known supplement brand. To our knowledge, they don’t have any online presence to speak of, and they do not seem to have their own independent website. However, the product is being pushed heavily on Amazon, so some of you are no doubt going to give it a whirl. So, we thought we’d give it a detailed review!
What does Caliber Labs Testosterone claim to do?
How is it supposed to work?
Obviously this is a product designed for bodybuilders, strength athletes and fighters who want to make extra gains. The picture on the bottle is a bit of a giveaway, and the three main benefits of “stamina, energy, strength” plastered on the front of the bottle really hammer the point home.
Of course, there’s not much of a difference between testosterone boosters for older guys and those meant for younger athletes. They might have some slightly different focuses; the odd ingredient here and there which is different. But on the whole, if a supplement can increase testosterone levels in a young man, it can do the same for an older guy.
Some products claim to be testosterone boosters, but in reality they just treat the symptoms of low testosterone. So they say they increase strength and stamina, but what they mean is that they provide amino acids and caffeine – they don’t actually increase serum testosterone levels. We look for products that really make a measurable difference to serum hormone levels. Nothing else will do!
We’re given a little more detail about what users can expect from Caliber Labs Testosterone on the Amazon merchant page:
“Backed by real studies and formulated with only potent, tried and tested ingredients that deliver lasting results” – spelling mistakes corrected of course.
Those are some big claims. Sadly though, we’ve heard this many times before. Every supplement in the world claims to have solid scientific backing and an optimal formula. In reality, almost none of them do; only a handful of testosterone boosters are capable of delivering real changes to your physiology.
So, does Caliber Labs Testosterone work?
How does it look when compared with our current top rated testosterone boosters?

Caliber Labs Testosterone Ingredients
Let’s get straight into this. Here is the formula for Caliber Labs Testosterone as it appears on the bottle:
What a terrible formula!
Whenever a supplement manufacturer doesn’t have an independent website of their own – and they push their product solely through Amazon – it usually means they’re not going to be around for a very long time.
We had hoped that Caliber Labs would be different, but it’s clear from this formula that they’re obviously just the same.
What we see here is a cheap, generic formula full of bogus, ineffective, totally unproven ingredients.
We’re actually pretty certain that we’ve seen this same formula a number of times before – it looks just like dozens of other products that have come and gone over the years (especially on Amazon). It’s not unlikely; many people just buy pre-made formulas from wholesalers and then sell them on with a mark-up through Amazon. All you need is a label and BOOM, you’re a manufacturer.
In any case, this is an awful formula for any supplement.
The main ingredient is Tribulus Terrestris. We have conclusive, scientific proof that this stuff does absolutely nothing for testosterone levels.
The next biggest ingredient (aside from the minerals) is dosed at one-tenth the serving of Tribulus Terrestris.
Of these other ingredients, not one is known to be a potent testosterone booster.
Every single one is just an over-hyped, benign herbal extract that has never been shown to increase testosterone in a clinical trial. There literally isn’t a single known, reliable ingredient in this formula (aside from the zinc and magnesium).
We’ve yet to use the word “scam” on this site, but we think that it is definitely apt here. This product is a complete rip-off; we just don’t know what else to say!
Let’s go through some of the main weaknesses in more detail.
Main Weakness – Primary Ingredient Is Worthless!
The whole formula is a disappointment if we’re honest. The reason we have not started with a discussion of the main strengths of this product is that there really aren’t any! Of all the weaknesses though, one definitely stands out.
That is the fact that the main ingredient – Tribulus Terrestris – is completely useless at increasing testosterone levels in humans.
We’re not just saying that it is less effective than some other alternatives.
We’re saying that it has been conclusively, decisively proven to be totally ineffective at influencing testosterone levels.
You don’t need to look very hard to find pretty strong evidence for this claim. One place we always tell people to look is here; of all the papers discussing TT, this is probably the most informative. It details an experiment in which researchers gave 22 elite rugby players a large dose of TT per day, or a placebo, and measured their testosterone levels over the course of their 5 week pre-season training.
Their findings are pretty damning for anyone who wants to push Tribulus Terrestris as a testosterone booster:
“After 5 weeks of training, strength and fat free mass increased significantly without any between-group differences. No between-group differences were noted in the urinary T/E ratio. It was concluded that T. terrestris did not produce the large gains in strength or lean muscle mass that many manufacturers claim can be experienced within 5-28 days. Furthermore, T. terrestris did not alter the urinary T/E ratio and would not place an athlete at risk of testing positive based on the World Anti-Doping Agency’s urinary T/E ratio limit of 4:1.” (Published 2007 in The Journal of Strength & Conditioning Research).
In other words, Tribulus Terrestris didn’t do a damn thing to the players’ hormone levels – not cortisol, not estrogen, and certainly not testosterone!
So why does Caliber Labs Testosterone use it as a primary ingredient?
Our hunch is that they know a whole network of bloggers out there are pushing this stuff as a miracle cure for low testosterone. They know there’s a lot of anecdotal story sharing out there, and they know it’s quite cheap to procure.
Big Weakness – Other Ingredients Do NOTHING
We’re not joking here – after Tribulus Terrestris, the biggest problem with this formula is that it doesn’t contain any effective testosterone boosters!
Sure, you wont struggle to find a supplement manufacturer telling you that some of these ingredients do some pretty incredible things.
You’ll find plenty of articles online talking about how Longjack Root puts anabolic hormone levels through the roof.
You can find plenty of supplement merchant sites telling you how Horny Goat Weed is “thought” to increase testosterone production in the testes, or how Saw Palmetto can significantly reduce aromatase activity.
But what you won’t find is hard evidence being cited to support these claims.
You won’t find that, because there isn’t any!
We never let ourselves be won over by hype. In order for us to buy into a substance’s effectiveness, we need to see some robust, empirical evidence showing it working well in human subjects. In order for us to list it as one of the best testosterone booster ingredients, we need to see multiple high quality studies saying that it works.
So confident are we that Caliber Labs Testosterone contains no useful ingredients that, should anyone link any conclusive, independent trials in the comments, we’ll re-write this review with the updated information.
But we know we’re not going to be doing that any time soon!
Caliber Labs Testosterone Side Effects – What To Expect
This is quite a tough one.
On the one hand, the ingredients in Caliber Labs Testosterone are all thought to be generally safe for regular human consumption.
Many of them are used in other testosterone boosters today, as well as products that are no longer on sale. Some of them have been routinely used in testosterone supplements for years, and they do not seem to cause any serious issues.
What’s more, the ingredients have all been tested in clinical trials on humans. As we said earlier, none have been found to be effective at increasing testosterone levels. But nor have they been found to cause any serious health or side effect concerns.
On the other hand though, this supplement represents all risks for no potential reward.
This is effectively just a zinc and magnesium stack with a load of ineffective herbal extracts thrown in.
Although the chances of experiencing any adverse effects are quite low (for the average user), you need to weigh that risk against potential benefits – of which there are literally none.
So while the ingredients all seem to be pretty safe, we don’t see why you would risk having an adverse reaction to any of the strange herbal extracts in Caliber Labs Testosterone when you aren’t going to get anything out of it!
When you start taking lots of different herbal extracts at once – particularly when they are very unusual – you really need to be careful about interactions with medication, allergies, and so on. We haven’t factored any of that in here because we don’t know your specific circumstances.
All we’ve done is talk about the average, hypothetically healthy user. Please keep that in mind, do your own research, and get medical advice before continuing.
You must remember the following facts while reading our supplement reviews:
- We are not doctors
- This isn’t medical advice
Just because a supplement looks like it is safe for 99% of users doesn’t mean it is necessarily or 100% safe for you. You have your own unique medical history, medication schedules, and dietary requirements that we aren’t aware of. All we’re doing here is highlighting the most obvious dangers based on our own research and experience.
Always do your own research, get a proper medical opinion from your usual physician, and never consult just one source online.
If you think you have seriously low testosterone levels, talk to a doctor. They may need to prescribe TRT. If you experience any side effects while using Caliber Labs Testosterone, stop using it immediately and get medical attention. If possible, share your experiences with us in the comments.
Caliber Labs Testosterone Review Conclusion – Is It Any Good?
So you’ve read the review (or you’ve skipped to the end).
By this point, you’ve either made up your mind, or you want us to just answer one simple question: “is Caliber Labs Testosterone any good?”
The only answer we can give to this question is: “no”.
This might be the worst testosterone booster we’ve reviewed on this site to date.
There isn’t a single ingredient in here capable of positively influencing your hormone profile.
The main ingredient – by a factor or 10 – is Tribulus Terrestris. This one ingredient makes up the vast majority of the Caliber Labs Testosterone formula. And yet it does absolutely nothing to your testosterone levels. This has been proven time and time again, yet the manufacturers just keep rolling it out!
The only substances in here capable of positively affecting your testosterone levels are zinc and magnesium.
These minerals do have a place in a comprehensive stack. But they do not constitute a potent testosterone booster by themselves.
We think charging people premium prices for two minerals that can be found in pretty much every multivitamin supplement is absolutely outrageous.
If you’re looking for a supplement to help keep your testosterone levels nice and high, Caliber Labs Testosterone is not it. This is a cheap rip-off of a supplement. If you want genuine results, steer clear of these scams and invest in a good quality testosterone booster that uses proven, effective ingredients.
